I saw shoes covered with Legos on the Web and just had to try and create a pair myself!!
To the left is my finished product! I am pleased with the results!
Here are my recommendations, if you try to design your own.
-- Start out with a pair of shoes that are a little too big. All that glue does cause the shoes to tighten up a bit.
-- Work your way from the bottom up -- I think it would have been easier for me to cover the shoes had I started at the bottom edge and not the top.
-- In addition to larger pieces, get 200 or 300 very small pieces. It should have made designing the shoes easier around the curves What do you do with your extra Legos?
Knitted this cute little basket while waiting to do something else. Mine holds paper clips. Ladies yours could hold a bottle of fingernail polish or safety pins. Gentlemen, might you use it to hold your loose change or an important receipt you wish to store away later?
Share how you might use it!
